Becoming a project leader
We are always looking for new project leaders to take our projects into more schools, and welcome applications at any time.
How much time do projects take?
Projects usually run September-July and take place entirely during school hours (except for performances). Over the course of the year, the project leader can expect to spend 120-150 hours on a project. Most of this will be in 2-3 hour sessions once per week, with a more concentrated period in the rehearsal period in June and July.
What experience do I need?
The pre-requisites for applying to become a project leaders are not very specific, as full training is given, either through a year-long apprenticeship or through an intensive course. An affinity for the role of art and drama in the education curriculum is important, as is the ability to control a class of 10 and 11-year olds. Classroom experience is helpful but not necessary.
