The YPPT aims to help children and young people develop practical and social skills through large-scale creative projects which offer access to a huge range of art forms. Children and young people can learn to make and operate complex marionette puppets as well as working on set design and construction and learning a range of technical theatre skills including puppetry, voice acting, lighting design and more on one of our custom-built stages. More important, however, is the social and emotional impact; the children gain confidence in their abilities, raise their aspirations, improve their resilience in the face of challenges and learn to work closely in a team. Our standard project lasts a year and is aimed at Year Six; however, we offer bespoke options for all ages - get in touch to find out more or if you have any questions! You can also donate here to support our work with disadvantaged children and young people.
