Our marionettes

The first thing to make is the head, using clay on a polystyrene base. Once made, it is painted, and hair is added.
"I liked making the puppets because I learned how to make everything from the head to the feet." (Year 6 pupil, 2015)
Some puppets also have hats.
Next we move onto Sculpey hands and clay feet, which are also painted.
The puppet is then assembled and the costume is made.
Next we use one of the purpose-built racks to string the puppets up.
The finished puppets!
